Markus Kaatsch

Executive Producer, Managing Director

Markus Kaatsch studied Film Production at the German Film and Television Academy Berlin (DFFB) from 2010 to 2017.

Before and during his studies, he produced numerous short and feature films that received more than 70 festival awards. His most notable achievements as a student producer include the short films EAT (screened at more than 240 festivals), KOMM UND SPIEL (Best Short Film at the Semaine de la Critique, 66th Cannes Film Festival), KOKON (German Short Film Award), IHR SOHN (Clermont-Ferrand 2016), EYE FOR AN EYE (Student Academy Award Nominee 2016), and the feature film BUBE STUR (65th Berlin International Film Festival).

During his studies, he founded the production company about:film, which developed a number of debut feature projects. The documentary FAMILY LIFE (FAMILIENLEBEN) celebrated its world premiere at the Berlinale in 2018 and was nominated for the German Documentary Film Award, among others. In 2019, X Verleih and Warner Bros. released the company’s first theatrical feature film, PRÉLUDE, nationwide in Germany.

Since 2020, the newly established Zeitgeist Filmproduktion has continued the work and vision of about:film.

From 2011 to 2020, Markus also ran the festival agency aug&ohr medien, which became one of the leading short film distribution and festival agencies. The approximately 1,200 films represented by the company received numerous awards and distinctions, including an Academy Award nomination, three European Film Award nominations, seven Student Academy Awards, national short film awards in various countries, annual Oscar-qualifying festival selections, and screenings at many of the world’s most prestigious film festivals.

Markus Kaatsch is a member of the German Film Academy and the German Television Academy.

Nina Poschinski

Executive Producer, Managing Director

Nina Poschinski has been dedicating herself to film since 2007. In the course of her studies of theatre, film and media science at the Goethe University in Frankfurt and the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich, she took part in a variety of feature film productions, as well as international co-productions during her one-year stay in Moscow. After her graduation, she worked as producer and production manager at a number of cinema and TV projects (e.g. PARADIES – Drife Filmproduktion, MATULA – H&V Entertainment, BENEDE – Hager Moss Film, TATORT – DAS PERFEKTE VERBRECHEN – Die Film GmbH).

In 2015 Nina founded Kader Filmproduktion in Munich. Her film THE TRANSFER, a German-Israeli co-production with BR and FFF Bayern, took part in more than 160 film festivals worldwide and won 32 awards, including Max-Ophüls-Preis Award in 2017.

Michael Grudsky

Executive Producer, Director

Michael Grudsky studierte Regie in München und an der Moskauer Filmhochschule (VGIK). Seinem Abschluss 2015 folgte die Teilnahme am 2-jährigen Masterprogramm der Filmakademie Wien in der Regieklasse von Michael Haneke. Während seiner Studienzeit realisierte er mehrere Filme als Produzent und Regisseur (u.a. DIE ÜBERSTELLUNG 2017; A LAST SACRIFICE 2013; SILOW 2011; STILLLEBEN 2010), die weltweit mit zahlreichen Preisen ausgezeichnet wurden. Sein Film DIE ÜBERSTELLUNG wurde mit dem Max-Ophüls-Preis 2017 ausgezeichnet, war für den Österreichischen Filmpreis nominiert und wurde weltweit auf über 160 Festivals gezeigt. Darüber hinaus inszenierte Michael Theaterstücke u.a. von A. Tschechow (ONKEL WANJA), M. Gorki (SONDERLINGE) und A. Ostrovsky (DOCHODNOE MESTO) und wirkte als Schauspieler in M. Bulgakovs ZOYKAS WOHNUNG und Tschechows IWANOW mit. Nach seinem Studium folgte die Gründung der Zeitgeist Filmproduktion, in der er als Produzent und Regisseur zur Zeit mehrere Spielfilmprojekte entwickelt.

Larissa Tretter

Producer

Born in Vienna in 1996, Larissa has been working at Zeitgeist Filmproduktion since 2023, and switched into her role as a producer mid-2026. In 2025, she received her bachelor’s degree in “Film and Television Production” from the Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF. Since then, she has completed the IFFMH Cutting Edge Talent Camp and the TorinoFilmLab NEXT Story Editing Workshop, gaining relevant experience in creative producing and script editing. She is currently developing two arthouse feature films and her first mini-series. Her produced short films, including Oh Katharina, Fish Out of Water, and Life Life Balance, have been screened at festivals such as the Max Ophüls Preis Film Festival, Diagonale, and the Landshuter Short Film Festival. In addition, she gained valuable experience as a production coordinator on several feature films and series. She is currently based in Berlin.
